 Fink (http://fink.sourceforge.net) born as a project wanted to bring the full world of Unix Open Source software to Darwin and Mac OS X.
The idea of Ngoro is to do the same for windows32-compatible operative systems (specially ReactOS project)
The main concern is to run on w32 systems the huge ammount of excellently made open-source applications (specially Linux ones)
This site is focused on:
- collecting ported open-source stuff (source code and compiled).
- incentivate fastest and stablest ports to w32 plaftorm, as source-code and compiled downloadable files.
- provide documentation enough for newbies getting more comfortable on porting and/or contributing with the Ngoro application repository.
- make ReactOS project (http://www.reactos.com) plenty of applications on its distribution.
- contributing also with the porting-back process - w32 open-source applications running on Unix and other operative system.
Main goals:
- modify existing Open Source software so that it will compile and run on w32 platforms.
- make open-source applications more popular than have beign until now.
